New AWS Well-Architected Labs

Hello! I hope your 2021 is going better than your 2020, it shouldn't be hard to achieve but who knows these days!!

I wanted to share with you a link to some new AWS Well Architected Labs that I think you're really going to like. Firstly, because they are very useful and secondly because, well, I made them :D

The first is one I made, based on something that I believe annoys many AWS users and that is that you don’t have your AWS Account names in the Cost and Usage Report! This may sound like a small issue but when you are reviewing thousands of dollars of charges and all you have to tie the cost to is an account number, it can be confusing and lead to human error when interpreting the data. Well, with my new Organization Data CUR Connection Lab you can create a Lambda function to get that data for you and connect it to the CUR. There is also a bonus section that will show you how to get the tags from your Organization as well!

The second is one I collaborated on with an awesome team of people at AWS. This one is more like a library of all those beautiful AWS Athena Queries you need when you first get started with the CUR. This was something I wanted to build for AWS Customers as soon as I arrived and I am so happy you can use these to dive into your CUR and learn more about Cloud costs.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the labs and maybe find some other useful content on the Well Architected site.

Happy saving :)
